Product Review: Formula 10.0.6 – Pores Be Pure Skin-clarifying mud mask

Hello Everyone!

Today’s post isΒ a quick product review for the Formula 10.0.6 Pores Be Pure Skin-Clarifying Mud Mask, which I have had the chance to use lately.

Ingredients: the main ones are strawberry, yarrow and rosemary. It also contains water, kaolin clay, cetyl alcohol, salicylic acid, methylparaben, propylparaben, sodium hydroxide, etc…

Function: Β the claim about this mask is that it is a skin-refining mask with berry boosters that goes straight to work on clogged pores, strawberry and rosemary eliminate impurities while yarrow clarifies the skin for instant complexion perfection.

How to use: it is to be applied on fresh cleansed and dried skin of the face and neck while avoiding eye area.

Price: It costs $8.97 CAD at Walmart

My opinion: Overall, the Pores Be Pure Skin-Clarifying Mud Mask is a not-so-bad face mask. When it comes to the ingredients, there are a few that raise a red flag for me especially the methylparaben and the propylparaben. I love the fact that the ingredients are listed on the container and visible enough, so consumers are aware. I love the mild tingling sensation, it smells great and from a price stand point, it’s not too bad.

Would I repurchase and recommend the Pores Be Pure Skin-Clarifying Mud Mask? Honestly, no and no. As I mentioned, some of the ingredients are raising a red flag and the face mask contains parabens, which I am not a fan of. I prefer using face masks without parabens in them and there are many other face masks that are paraben free on the market.

That is it for this review. I hope you enjoyed reading it. Until next time!

  1. Methylaparaben and propylparaben repluse me too, Nai. I’m skeptical of what the brand has added in the name of “strawberry” too.

Being a DIYer, I’d prefer mashing a few of them, adding yoghurt and letting my skin souse in it than peer over a ready-made variant. No offence to those who follow the latter. To each his own, after all πŸ™‚

  2. Wow that’s good to know! And it’s also refreshing to hear that you know your ingredients. I’ll be sure to pass on this mask if I ever come across it.

  3. I am always so scared to try facemask. I also seem to catch the negative videos or post. So I’m happy I stumbled across yours make me have more faith in the bottle I just bought. Fingers crossed it all works out for me as well as it has for you

  4. I am looking to try something new for pores, i guess I will stay away from this! LoL thank you for ur honest opinion, its always good to read those. ❀
