I love the fact that department stores selling high end products offer samples to customers to try out before they buy. I used to be afraid of asking for samples because I didn’t want the sales associates to judge me, but then, I found out that it is ok to ask for samples especially when shopping around for certain products.
Currently, I am on a mission to find a good high end primer, foundation, concealer, a good eye cream, a good face moisturizer and a highlighter whether in powder form, stick or liquid form. So I went to Sephora and asked for a couple of samples for foundations that I wanted to try. They are: Lancome Teint d’Idole 24hr, MUFE HD foundation, NARS Sheer Glow foundation, NARS All Day Luminous and the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hr. For primers, I have a sample for the Becca mattifying primer and the Clinique super primer. As for concealer, I am trying out the MUFE HD concealer. For highlighter, I have a sample of the Becca shimmering skin perfector in the color Opal and the Josie Maran Illuminator. For the eye cream, I have a sample for the Jurlique Herbal Recovery eye cream; for a moisturizer, I am trying the Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan oil light.
All week long, I’m going to put these products to the test so I can determine which ones work best for me.
