Hello Beautifuls! Happy Thursday!
It’s been almost a month since my last post, but life has been throwing me lemons and I made some major decisions. I am going to try my best to keep this post short and sweet.
I decided to go back to school to become a Montessori teacher. I graduated from university back in 2014 with a BA in Family and Social Relations and a minor in French and I was not able to get a decent job within my field. So this year I decided that I would have to go back to school to further my education. I applied for teachers college and was not successful. Since I have been contemplating Montessori Teachers education for quite a while, I decided to go for it and honestly, it is the best the decision I have made so far this year. I will have a separate post on that later on.
I also started the process for the gastric sleeve surgery. I know that many people have mixed opinions about this type of surgery and I have heard it all. I decided that enough is enough and chose that route because I have been struggling with my weight for quite a while now. I tried many different diet programs and going to the gym, and nothing has really worked for me long term. What was frustrating for me is that I would lose a few pounds and gain it again. I have been told that I am taking the easy way out and that I am not consistent in my diet and exercise routine. As much as I respect everyone’s opinion I believe that at the end of the day I will do what is best for me and my body. Everyone’s body is not the same. It may be easy for some to lose a few pounds, but for others it is a challenge. I am not advocating and encouraging people to have a bariatric surgery just because, but if this tool is offered, why not use it. I am also aware that having the surgery is not a “magic way” to lose weight, it is just step 1 in my weight loss journey.
Anyways, that is all for today. Let me know in the comments section what you think about any of the things I mentioned in this post. Thank you for reading, until next time!
