Inside my Ipsy Bag- March and April

Hello Beautiful people!

Happy Tuesday!

This post is a short and sweet one. It is about what was inside my March and April Ipsy bags. I decided to reactivate my subscription with Ipsy and I notice a big improvement since the last bag that I received which was some time last year. So here goes the products that I received:

Starting with March…

I like most of the products except for the Eyecko Fat Eye Stick. I am not sure if it is going to last on my eyelid, given that my eyelids get oily throughout the day. So far it appears to be pigmented as you can see in this pic…          DSC_0863

Here is a swatch of the Pur Concealer, which I can’t wait to start using. I was surprised at the fact that it provides such full coverage. PUR COLLAGE

My favorite products in this bag are the Tarte liquid lipstick, the Pur concealer and the Chella tweezers.

Now April…

Unlike March’s bag, I love all the products in the April bag especially the big sample size for the H2O Beauty Cleanser. The angle blush brush from Glamour Dolls x Lisa Frank, however looks a little bit childish, but I find it a cute and it reminds me of my collection of Lisa Frank binders and notebooks that I used to own way back in my young days. Here are swatches of my 2 favorite items in this bag: the Jesse Girl Liquid eyeliner and the Betty Lou Manizer

That’s all for today’s post guys. If you received anyone of these bags, let me know which one of the products you like and enjoy the most. Thanks for reading, until next time.

PR Haul – M Squared Management Blogger Box

Hello everyone!

Happy Tuesday!

Today I want to talk  about some products that I’ve had the chance to try this year.  The M Squared Management team was kind enough to send me the Blogger Box which contained a few organic natural products for the purpose of trying out and review. I received my box back in January of this year, but I wanted to at least test out some of the products so I can let you guys know my opinion.

So here are the products that I received:

The Green Apple Lip Balm from the Green Beaver Company

The Calendula Intensive Skin Recovery Cream by WeledaWELEDA COLLAGE

The Radius Tour Travel Toothbrush. Although I have not started to use it, I find this toothbrush very convenient to travel with, hence the name.

TOUR BRUSH COLLAGE

The Spry Cinnamon Chewing Gum. I find this gum tasty and not as sweet as some of the regular chewing gums and it doesn’t last as long either. GUM COLLAGE

The Bliss Deodorant by Lafes. DSC_0438

The Jardin de Vie Eau Naturelle Parfumée Collection by WeledaDSC_0448

Last but not least, the calming body lotion, the quick fix correcting balm and the aromatherapeutic moroccan argan oilDSC_0480

I am not sure if these products are available in stores in Canada; however, some of them are available on wells.ca and they can be ordered on their company websites. I will be doing a separate review for the ones that I didn’t really say anything about in this post.

That is it for this post. Thanks for reading, until next time!

2016-End of the Year Haul

Hello Beauties!

Happy Monday!

I have been debating on how to write this post since the beginning of this month. I didn’t just want to call it “what I got for Christmas” because some of these items were purchased before the holidays. I don’t really like doing monthly hauls because I find them a little bit redundant and they can be a perfect excuse for me to buy things I don’t necessarily need just for the sake of my blog. To make it easy for me, I decided that I want to do only 4 major hauls throughout the year:

Beginning of the year haul – includes things I purchased, received as a gift or for PR purposes from the beginning of January to the end of March.

Spring haul- includes things I purchased, received as a gift or for PR purposes from the beginning of April to the end of June.

Summer haul- includes things I purchased, received as a gift or for PR purposes from the beginning of July to the end of September.

End of the year haul – includes things I purchased, received as a gift or for christmas or for PR purposes from the beginning of October to the end of December.

I love a good sale, so I went a little crazy during Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales both in Canada and the States. Here are a few goodies that I was able to get my hands on from Oct to Dec of 2016:

DSC_0051   DSC_0053                           I ordered these two on the bh cosmetics website during their black friday sale. I purchased them for my secret santa giftee.

DSC_0056   DSC_0065                           I purchased these for my hubby also during black friday sale at Burlingtons Coat Factory.

DSC_0061    DSC_0085 DSC_0095 edit   I also purchased these at Burlingtons Coat Factory and these are awesome decor pieces.

DSC_0093 Got this cute calendar at Target for $5

DSC_0080  These were purchased at Michaels. I found them in the $1.50 bins.

FRESH This was a gift from my Secret Santa

URBAN DECAY I ordered this on the Sephora website. $26 CAD for the set was not bad at all.

f21 face towel  DSC_0030 (2)  DSC_0032 (2)  I purchased these at Forever 21

DSC_0004  DSC_0006 edit  DSC_0008 Found these at Winners…

TOO FACED   NYX  DSC_0046   DSC_0045                             These were purchased at Ulta

DSC_0037  My ring light which was a gift from my hubby was ordered on Amazon.

So that is all for this post. I hope you enjoyed reading about haul post. I don’t know, sometimes I feel that haul posts and videos can be a bit braggish but they can also be informative especially when they tell you what kind of deals are out there and where to find them. Let me know in the comments how you guys feel about Haul Posts in general.

Thanks for reading, unil next time!!

Indie Brands I discovered this summer

Hello Everyone!

Happy Tuesday!!  I hope you all are having a great day today.

I recently posted this picture on my IG and I’ve had quite a lot of likes and comments. So I figured that I might as well write a post about the different Indie brands that I discovered and continue to discover and which ones I love so far.

Here are the brands:

Jeffrey James, Good Things, By Nature, Skinfood, Sukin, FitGlow, Medskin, Tom’s of Maine and Olive Naturals

As I mentioned before, I am on the hunt to find organic certified products that contain ingredients that are not too harsh for my skin. I know that the organic products can be pricy but I was able to find some good ones at Winners that are at a reasonable price. Out of all the brands I mentioned, FitGlow is the only one that carries expensive products but I did enjoy using the products that I purchased earlier this year from the company. If you are interested in finding out about my thoughts on FitGlow, check out this link: http://beautyandcurves.ca/first-impression-fit-glow-beauty/

I will be doing a review for each of the brands I mentioned in this post (except FitGlow, Jeffrey James and Tom’s of Maine. I already reviewed them in my previous posts) so I can let you know what I think of the brands and their products, and if they are worth buying.

As always, Thanks for reading!
