Late Post: Inside My Ipsy Bag – August

Hey everyone!

Happy Wednesday!

As you can see by the title, this is a late post of my August Ipsy Bag. I subscribed to Ipsy the beginning of this year and I have now decided to cancel my subscription temporarily not because they don’t have a good selection of products, but I just want to try other subscription boxes.

So here are the products that I received:

JELLY PONG PONG EYESHADOW PALETTEDSC_0048

In my opinion this glam bag wasn’t so bad. I am excited to try out all the products especially the eyeshadow palette. I also love the fact that most of the products are organic, cruelty free and vegan friendly.

If you are currently subscribed to ipsy, let me know your opinions of their glam bags. I know that some people are happy with their bag and others aren’t.

Once again, I hope you enjoyed reading this post…. Until next time!!

Summer Must Haves!!

Hey loves!  Happy Wednesday!!

First day of summer was last week and it’s been nice hot and sunny out here in Windsor Ontario!! From what I hear it was supposed to rain about a week ago, but no rain so far… (hope I don’t jinx it!)  Anyways. It is officialy time to pull out the short shorts, the skimpy outfits and the summer products to keep the body moisturized protected and glowing of course!!

Here are my body/skincare must haves for this summer:

DSC_2737 One of the most important products I do not leave the house without… I was not aware at first that even we black folks needed sunscreen, but we do just as much to keep our skin protected as much a s possible… Skin Cancer does not discriminate honey!  I like it so far, it has a really lightweight, not so heavy creamy consistency and it smells really good!! I purchased at Walmart for $8.97 CAD.

DSC_2742  I started using the Soft Dri brand earlier this year when I purchased the Aluminum Free deodorant, which I liked, but it doesn’t last all day compared to this on. As stated on the package, it is a clear gel and does last 24hrs! It retails for $2.18 CAD at Walmart.

DSC_2765  I’ve decided to ditch my regular face cream for the Garnier SkinActive Moisture Rescue Gel-Cream and I love it so far. Since I just recently started using it I can’t really give you guys my informed opinion as of yet, but I will give it a full month and let you know if it works for me or not. It cost $8.97 CAD at Walmart

DSC_2733 Of course, I love a nice glow especially during the summer, so I had to get this when I went to LaSenza a couple weeks ago. It’s not the Tom Ford’s Body Shimmer Oil (which is on my wishlist), but it does the trick and smells really good!!  Retails for $9 CAD

DSC_2728 I may be late on this bandwagon, but I finally decided to try this setting spray to help my make up last especially during the upcoming hot days… Retails for $12.97 CAD at Walmart.

DSC_2745Another bandwagon that I am late on. I will definitely use it as both a primer and an aftershave for my legs. I paid $5.77 USD at Walmart in the States.

DSC_2746 I was sent this face sunscreen as a PR sample for review purposes. I have been trying it for a week now and I love how lightweight it is. No break outs so far. It is available at most retail stores such as Shoppers Drugmart etc… for $8.49 CAD.

DSC_2635These were also sent to me as PR samples. Nair Hair Remover is to be used in the shower to remove the unwanted hair. I saw it at Walmart the other day and it is $15.97 CAD (I think). I haven’t seen the Batiste Dry shampoo anywhere in Canada yet, but it is available online, on amazon and in certains store in the States such as Walgreens, Ulta etc… and retails for $7.99 USD. And the last product is the Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant Toothpaste (available at Walmart for $2.97 CAD). Lord knows we need to keep our teeths squeeky clean for the summer 🙂

That’s it for my Summer Must Haves. Let me know what are your Summer must haves and maybe recommend some of your favorites in the comment section.

Thanks for reading… until next time!

DSC_2530
This is a Portable 16 LED Selfie Flash Fill Flash Light for Samsung Smartphone and it was only $2.76 CAD. I love the fact that it came with a USB cable for charging purposes instead of the watch batteries.

That is it for my Ebay Finds- part 2. All the products came from China and shipping was free. i will be swatchin the lip liners in my next post and reviewing the derma roller as well. Stay tune!

Happy Wednesday!!

I received my Ipsy Glam Bag on Monday and I am so happy with this one! 🙂 Lets take a look, shall we?

DSC_2497
These 3 sheet mask are from a Soo AE (never heard of this brand before), but I am excited to try them. According to Ipsy’s website, these sheet masks are specially formulated for amazing firming and brightening effects to revitalize tired, or stressed out skin.

Again another product that I will be trying out soon. I will keep you posted on how it works…
DSC_2500
I already have this exact mascara from Smashbox when I went to genbeauty Toronto last month. I haven’t tried it yet, but I think I will give this one to my mother.
DSC_2499
This is the second eye shadow brush I received from Ipsy. Once again, I never heard of the brand prior to. I will be using it to pack up glitter when I decide to create MOTDs with glitters. The bristles on this brush are really soft by the way.

This is the product that I am most excited about. It is the Pacifica Natural Mineral Coconut eyeshadow trio. The colors are Crush (beige), Skinny Dip (light brown) and Lovely (dark brown). Here is a swatch on how the look on my skin:

DSC_2513As you can see, they are not super pigmented, but they can easily be worked with.
