Late post: Product Review – Estee Lauder Revitalizing Supreme Eye Gelee

Hey Beautiful people!

Happy Tuesday!

I have been slacking so much on posting constantly on my blog. I do apologize for that. So these next few weeks I will be posting about the products that I have been using the past few months. I will call this my “Late post” category. Anyways, enough blabbing…

So this post is a review for the Estee Lauder Revitalizing Supreme Eye Gelee. Just a quick disclaimer, I was sent this product for the sole purpose of trying and sharing my honest opinion with yall.

I have tried a few different eye creams but I am not sure that they make a difference in how my under eye area looks. However I love the fact that they help keep my under eye area moisturized and they make the application of concealer appear much smoother with less creasing.

Here are a few facts about the Estee Lauder Eye Gelee:

  • It is multi-action, fatigue-fighting eye treatment that helps eye skin look and feel firmer, radiant and deeply nourished.
  • It improves skin’s visible firmness, reduces the look of lines, wrinkles and puffiness, and brightens the look of dark circles.
  • It is an Energizing Complex of powerful, energy boosters, including Sea Lavender flower extract, helps promote natural cellular energy.
  • The golden-tipped cooling massage applicator helps boost microcirculation and reinvigorate the eye area.
  • There is only .27 oz worth of product, but a little bit goes a long way.

I have been using this eye cream since the end of March, I can say that by now, I have been using it enough to let you know my honest opinion. When it comes to eye creams I am not too particular on what I am expecting for them to do for me in terms of getting rid of dark circles. However, I love their moisturizing effect. In my opinion, the Estee Lauder Eye Gelee is not any different from the other ones I have used, but it is the applicator that I love the most. I love the cooling effect of the applicator when applying the cream especially after leaving it in fridge overnight. I love the fact that instead of using my fingers, the applicator does the work for me. I also love the packaging. It is very travel-friendly, it small enough to fit in any purses, make up bag, and I don’t have to worry about the product spilling.

If you guys are interested in purchasing the Estee Lauder Revitalizing Supreme Eye Gelee, it is available at any Estee Lauder counters and it retails at $68 CAD and $55 USD online. That is about it for this post, I hope you guys enjoyed reading it. Until next time!

Influenster Rimmel Voxbox

Hello everyone!

Thank Goodness It’s Friday!

I hope you guys are having a great day today. As for me, I am still recovering from a not-so-nice cold.

This post is about my Influenster Rimmel London voxbox. As usual here is my disclaimer: these products were sent to me by Influenster for the sole purpose of trying them and sharing my opinion.

I received the new Rimmel London Shake It Fresh Mascara and the Matte Lipstick

The Shake It Fresh mascara, according to the rimmel london website,  is clump-free, smudge-free and volumizing.  The packaging is nice and feels heavy. It comes with a bristle wand which makes it easy to apply.

My verdict – I like this mascara because it is easy to apply and non-clumping and non-smudging. The only con for me is that it is not waterproof. I prefer waterproof mascaras because they work better for me based on the fact that my eyes tear up whenever I apply mascaras and they last longer.

The second product is a matte lipstick                           DSC_0886 (2)DSC_0887 (2)

Application:  Apply smoothly. It looks a bit ashy on me, but it looks good when paired with a dark brown lip liner. In my case, I pair it with Simma brown from Wet N Wild.18578999_10154697358853207_1367835826_n

Pigmentation: very pigmented

Quality: Matte finish, smooth and very comfortable to wear. Not sure it is long lasting because I didn’t wear it for a long period of time. It does transfer a bit.

Overall, I love both the mascara and the lipstick. The question is, are they must-haves in anyone’s make up collection? No, but they are good products to try, that is why I do recommend them. Usually mascaras and lipsticks are personal, meaning what works for me may not work for others and vice versa. I’m not sure how much they cost, but I am sure that they don’t cost that much.

That is all for this post guys.  Once again, thanks for reading; until next time!

Product Review: Wet N Wild 2017 Collection

Hello Beauties, Happy Friday!

So this post is about the long overdue review for the recently released Wet N Wild products. I was supposed to attend the Wet N Wild new 2017 collection release event, but I wasn’t able to because I was really sick. Duet PR was kind enough to send me some of the products to try out. I also ended up ordering the foundation, concealer and a liquid lipstick. The order in which I am going to talk about these products is from my least favorite product to my most favorite. Here we go!

1.DSC_0390 (2)This is the Megaglo Dual-Ended Contour Stick in the color 752A Medium/Tan. I don’t like this one because the colors are too light for me to contour with, as you can see from this swatch below.  I won’t be using the highlight, however I will use the contour color as a concealer.DSC_0391 (2)

2.DSC_0387 (2) The Megaglo Makeup Stick Contour in 804A Oak’s On You is also too light for me to contour with. Just like the other one I intend to use it as a concealer. This is how it looks on me.DSC_0388 (2)

3.DSC_0413

The Coloricon Ombre Blush in the color 316B The Princess Diaquiries. This blush looks more like a pink highlighter on me as you can see in the picture below. It is very soft, pigmented and easy to apply. I will for sure use it as a highlighter this summer. DSC_0420

Color wise, these 3 are not my favorites. For a full review check out this link http://beautyandcurves.ca/wet-n-wild-new-liquid-lipsticks/.  I ended up ordering ordering a darker color 925B Give Me Mocha and it looks really good on me. I will purchase the darker colors in this collection since I find that they look and apply better.

I have not used these lip pencils yet but I love the colors. They apply smoothly and are pigmented.  Color 1 is 651B Bare To Comment and color 2 is 655A Think Flamingos.

I purchased the Photofocus foundation in the color 377C Mocha and I paid $5.99 USD which is not bad at all. I love the fact that it comes with a spatula which makes it easy when applying the foundation. When applying, I work in sections because I find out the foundation dries a bit quickly.  So far so good. I am not sure that I like applying it with a beauty sponge. Next time, I will try applying it with a flat top brush and let you guys know what I think.

Here are my 4 favorites…

DSC_0404 (2)The Photofocus Pressed Powder in the color 827C Dark Cafe is slightly too dark for me as a finishing powder, but as a bronzer it is perfect.

8.DSC_0929I purchased the Photofocus Concealer in the color Dark Cocoa for $3.99 USD. This concealer reminds me of the Maybelline Fit Me concealer but slightly thicker and cheaper.

9.

DSC_0407This Au Naturel palette 753A Bare Necessities, speaks for itself. The colors are nice although some of them are more pigmented than others. They are easy to blend and to work with.AU NATUREL COLLAGE

This highlighter is everything! It applies well, it is very pigmented and looks great on women of color. The color I received is 321B Precious Petals.

Overall, I like the Wet N Wild new 2017 collection and I think it is a collection worth checking out. There are some hit and miss but I think the hits overpower the misses. Also, all the products that I mentioned are cruelty free. Check out this video to see how I was able to use most of these products.

Thanks for reading and watching, until next time!

Product Review: Organic Skincare – Acure Moroccan Argan Oil, Quick Fix and Body Lotion

Hello Beauties!

Happy Wednesday!

Spring has sprung and it is time to say bye bye to the winter blues!

So far this year I have had the chance to try out some organic products and some of them are form Acure. I never knew about Acure until I got to try some of their products and I think it is a brand that I would like to continue exploring.

The three products that I received are the Aromatherapeutic Moroccan Argan Oil – Rose, the Quick Fix Correcting Balm and the Calming Body Lotion – Lavender.

DSC_0485 There is not much to say about this body lotion except that it is very moisturising and it smells awesome. It contains lavender oil and sacred lotus stem cell. Lavender oil is my favorite essential oil and I am all for any product that contains lavender oil. The price for it is $9.99 USD for a 236ml container.

DSC_0484 I was not too sure on how to use this balm at first, but since I noticed that it was greasy, I decided to use it on my face at night time. I find it helps soothe my breakouts and it makes my skin feel so soft and moisturised. It has the same consistency as vaseline and it smells so good. According to the website, this certified organic balm works wonders around the mouth and eyes and it is a all-in-one balm that can be used for: cuticles, chapped hands, crow’s feet and your feet.  The price is $15.99 USD for a 30ml container on their website.

DSC_0483 This one is my favorite out of all three.  I use it both during the day and night time on my face. I love that it is multifunctional. According to the website, it can be used as a: facial serum, body + decollete massage oil, hair serum, hand + cuticle oil, soothes dry elbows + heels. Lightweight and easily absorbed, you can allow the soothing blend of rose geranium + lemongrass to soothe the senses and calm the mind. It is not as greasy as the quick fix correcting balm, that is why I am able to use it during the day as part of my morning routine. A little bit goes a long way and it smells amazing. The price on the website is $12.99 USD for a 30ml bottle.

Overall, I love all three products, and as mentioned previously, I would like to try more of their products especially the cleansers and face masks. Do I recommend these products? Yes. They are organic certified, they are free of harmful chemicals such as sulfate and parabens. They also don’t contain synthetic fragrance and are cruelty free.

That is all for this post. I hope you enjoyed reading it. Until next time!

Product Review – Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream

Hello Beauties!

Happy Wednesday!

This post a review on this product that I received since last year in October to try and review. I figured that it is now time for me to write a review about it, given that it has been 3 months since I have been using it. Let’s get started!!

About the company: Prior to being contacted, I was not aware neither did I hear of the company.  All I know, according to what I read on their website, is that the cream has been around since 1991. Check out this link http://egyptianmagic.ca/about/ if you would like to know more.

DSC_0248

About the product:  According to the website, The All Purpose Skin Cream is is a phenomenal healing balm with legendary powers due to its unique mixture of all natural ingredients derived only from living plants and organisms. It’s main ingredients are olive oil, bees wax, honey, bee pollen, royal jelly and bee propolis. It is additives, preservatives, fragrance, chemical and parabens free and is not tested on animals. This product is multifunctional; it can be used in many different ways. check out this link http://egyptianmagic.ca/best-uses/.  Directions on how to use it is to rub a moderate amount in the palm of your hands until it takes the form of an oil and then apply to the skin. As for the consistency, I would say that it is  almost the same as vaseline.DSC_0249

The Pros: I love the fact that it is made with natural ingredients. It is moisturizing and not greasy at all.

The con: I don’t like the smell. Although it is fragrance free, to me it smells like a rubber band.

As far as the price, it is a bit pricey, in my opinion, but it’s to be expected of any organic certified products. The 2oz jar is $31 and the 4oz jar is $48.

My overall opinion about this product is that it is a great cream and I love it especially during the winter my skin gets really dry. But since I have been using it, my skin feels moisturized and soft. I prefer to use it right after I shower on wet skin instead of dry skin because it applies smoothly that way. The only thing is I wish it didn’t smell like rubber, although the smell is not anoying, but I prefer to have my body creams and lotions to smell good. So what I do to remedy that, I mix the cream with a little bit of lavender oil and problem solved!!

I hope you guys enjoyed reading this post. Until next time!

xoxo,
