Estee Lauder Pure Color Love Lipsticks Swatches and Review

Hello Beautifuls!  Happy Saturday!

This post is about my long overdue Estee Lauder Pure Color Love Lipsticks Swatches and Review. So let’s just dive in…

Here the 3 lipsticks I received in my goodie bag. I thought what a better time to get those especially with the fall and winter months right around the corner

Here are the swatches…

According to the estee lauder website, here is the list Ingredients:  Octyldodecanol; Triisostearyl Citrate; Ozokerite; Tricaprylyl Citrate; Silica; Microcrystalline Wax\Cera Microcristallina\Cire Microcristalline; Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax\ Copernicia Cerifera Cera \Cire De Carnauba; Moringa Oil/Hydrogenated Moringa Oil Esters; Ethylhexyl Palmitate; Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride; Vinyl Dimethicone/Methicone Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer; Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Seed Oil; Euterpe Oleracea Fruit Oil; Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Oil; Tocopheryl Acetate; Polydecene; Ascorbyl Palmitate; Saccharin; Fragrance (Parfum); Tin Oxide; Calcium Sodium Borosilicate; Synthetic Fluorphlogopite; Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate; Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate; [+/- Mica; Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891); Red 7 Lake (Ci 15850); Iron Oxides (Ci 77491); Iron Oxides (Ci 77492); Iron Oxides (Ci 77499); Red 27 (Ci 45410); Manganese Violet (Ci 77742); Yellow 5 Lake (Ci 19140); Red 22 Lake (Ci 45380); Red 30 Lake (Ci 73360); Red 6 (Ci 15850); Carmine (Ci 75470); Bismuth Oxychloride (Ci 77163); Red 33 Lake (Ci 17200); Red 21 (Ci 45380); Yellow 6 Lake (Ci 15985); Blue 1 Lake (Ci 42090); Red 28 Lake (Ci 45410)] <ILN43107>

As you can see by this long list, these are the ingredients in the lipsticks. There are a lot of the names I can’t pronounce but I don’t see anything too alarming (correct me if I am wrong).

Price: $22 USD and $28 CAD.

Application:  is really smooth. I love the angular shape, which makes it conveniently easy for me to line my lips.

Pigmentation: very pigmented

Quality: Ultra Matte, they are non-drying and very comfortable to wear.  They last quite a bit. As you can see in this picture, I wore Rose XCess for about 7 hours and that is after eating a soft pretzel, drinking lemonade and no touch up. As any regular lipsticks, they do transfer, but nothing dramatic.

My verdict: I really love these lipsticks. I find that they are very smooth and non-drying especially for ultra matte lipstick. I love the wide range of color in this collection, I believe there are about 30 shades and there is a shade for everyone. Definitely Women of Color Approved! I also love the fact that there is a list of ingredients available on their website for concerned consumers such as myself.                                                                                   Lastly, I love the packaging; it is very nice and sophisticated!

Would I repurchase and recommend the Pure Color Love Lipsticks?  Yes and Yes!

That’s about it for this post. I hope you enjoyed reading it. Until next time!

Hello Everyone!

Hope you guys are having a great day!

Today, I am going to talk about these liquid Lipsticks from Wet N Wild. They were sent to me as part of PR package from Wet N Wild for the purpose of trying them out and letting you, my dear lovely readers, know what I think about them.

Lets now talk about the lipstick.

collage WNW

Price: Affordable. About $4.99 USD on the website.

Application:  Apply smoothly, but the lighter colors apply a little bit patchy even with a second coat.

Pigmentation: very pigmented

Quality: Matte finish, smooth and very comfortable to wear.

Here is a quick swatch video on how they look on me.

Overall, these liquid lipsticks are not so bad. They are pretty affordable. Although I’m not sure if they are available in Canada as of yet, they are available on the wet n wild website. I am not a big fan of the lighter colors, but I am interested in trying out some of the darker colors; and when I do, I will keep you posted.

Thank you for reading, until next time!

Black-Owned Businesses – Juvia’s Place

Hello Beautifuls!

We have reached the last day of February meaning the end of Black History Month, but that doesn’t mean that we stop celebrating and acknowledging our history.

I am starting this new segment on my blog where I will be talking about a black business that provide products for women of color, whether make up, hair products, jewelry etc..

The first company I would like to talk about today is Juvia’s Place. Just a quick disclaimer: I am not paid to write this post and neither was I sent any product to review. I spent my own coins to get the palettes I’m about to mentioned and this is my overall honest opinion.

I know there has been a lot of controversy surrounding Juvia’s place. I have watched so many videos on youtube and many youtubers were not satisfied with the customer service department, stating that the representative was rude. Based on my experience, I didn’t have any issues from the time I placed my orders to the time I received them. The shipping time wasn’t long at all. I also love the fact they sent me emails letting me know the status of my orders. In order words, my customer service experience was great. My palettes came intact and were well packaged and there weren’t any broken eyeshadows.collage - JP1

I ordered both the Masquerade and Saharan palettes. I decided to skip on the nubian palettes and order the Masquerade palette because I feel that the Masquerade palette has a mixture of both nude and color eyeshadows. As for the Saharan palette, I ordered it because of the burnt orange colors.

Here are some swatches from the Masquerade palette
collage - JP2There are 16 colors in this palette and they all have a name. The eyeshadows in this palette are quite large. This palette cost $52 CAD that includes shipping.

And here are the swatches from the Saharan palette
collage - JP3 There are 12 colors in this palette and they all have a name as well. This palette cost $47 CAD that includes shipping.

As you can see, the eyeshadows are pigmented, although some are more pigmented than others, and they swatch very well. Both palettes contain matte and shimmery eyeshadows.

That is all for this post. Let me know in the comments if you have any one of the palettes  from Juvia’s Place and if you love them or not. Thanks for reading, until next time!

MeNow True Lips lip pencils

This post is a swatch and review of the highly talked about MeNow lip pencils. Right off the bat, the colors are so nice and pigmented. The colors were divided into 2 groups of 6, here they are:

Group 1DSC_25291. Color 050 which is like a peachy pink

2. Color 054 is like a pinkish nude

3. Color 058 is red

4. Color 051 is like a mauvy pink

5. Color 052 is peach

6. Color 059 is like a pink with red undertone to it.

Group 2DSC_25271. Color 060 is like a magenta or fuscia pink

2. Color 053 is a nude

3. Color 055 is a dark red

4. Color 057 is a true pink

5. Color 056 is a bright orange

6. Color 046 is a brighter pinkish nude

My thoughts about these lip liners is that they are great for the price that I paid for them… I mean… a box of 12 lip liners for only $1.51 CAD with no shipping is unheard of. As for the quality, they are soft enough and are easy to apply. I ‘m not gonna say that they are the best, but they are good enough. My favorites are the darker shades, because I find that they are easier to apply. My least favorite are color 053, 052, 056 and 046 because the application is a bit patchy. Would I repurchase them?  No. Essence has some great affordable lip liners that I absolutely love.

Let me know if you guys have tried these lip liners and your thoughts on them.  Thanks for reading…. Until next time!

ProFusion Waterproof eyeliner

Hey Guys!!

I picked up these eyeliners during one of my trips to the States back in March. I was browsing the make up section at Five Below and I found these and I decided to give them a try.  These eyeliners came in a set of 6 per box and each box cost less than $5.

I have never heard of this brand prior to purchasing these eyeliners. They apply very easily and are very pigmented. Here is a swatch along with their name:

DSC_2533 Color 1 is called Gold

Color 2 is Gunmetal

Color 3 is Plum

Color 4 is Rose Gold

Color 5 is Black

DSC_2532Color 1 is  Silver

Color 2 is Forest Green

Color 3 is Creamy Beige

Color 4 is Bronze

Color 5 is Teal

I absolutely love these eyeliners, not only for the price, but for how pigmented they are and they are waterproof. I plan on using them as both eyeliners and eyeshadows. Since I am not too familiar with the brand, I would like to know more about it. Let me know if you guys have tried any products from Profusion, if yes, did you guys like it, hate it?

Thanks for reading this post, until next time!
